How to Care for Your Puffin Hat
Our hats are made from natural Icelandic wool blends and are designed to last when cared for properly. You can wash them by hand or using the wool cycle on your washing machine.
Hand Wash:
-
Soak the hat in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent for about 10 minutes.
-
Gently move the hat in the water — do not rub or twist.
-
Press the water out carefully (do not wring).
-
Lay the hat flat to dry on a clean towel, reshaping as needed.
Machine Wash:
-
Use a wool-safe detergent.
-
Select the wool program at 30°C or lower.
-
After washing, lay the hat flat to dry.
Important:
Do not put the hat in a dryer.Tip:
Icelandic wool is naturally breathable and resistant to odor. It often only needs a good airing out, rather than frequent washing. -
