    •  This soft wool hat is made by Kidka, one of Iceland’s last remaining wool knitting studios, located in the small town of Hvammstangi in the northwest of Iceland. Kidka is known for blending traditional Icelandic knitting heritage with modern designs, creating garments that are both cozy and full of local character.

This hat features a pattern of Icelandic horses, a symbol of strength, resilience, and the deep connection between Icelandic people and their land. Light, warm, and beautifully textured, it’s perfect for winter walks, travel, or everyday wear.

      About Kidka:
Kidka is a small Icelandic knitting factory known for its high-quality wool products and distinctive designs. They use Icelandic wool for its natural warmth, durability, and ability to handle Iceland’s ever-changing weather. Each piece reflects a piece of Icelandic life — simple, strong, and crafted with care.

How to Care for Your Hat

Our hats are made from natural Icelandic wool blends and are designed to last when cared for properly. You can wash them by hand or using the wool cycle on your washing machine.

      Hand Wash:

      1. Soak the hat in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent for about 10 minutes.

      2. Gently move the hat in the water — do not rub or twist.

      3. Press the water out carefully (do not wring).

      4. Lay the hat flat to dry on a clean towel, reshaping as needed.

      Machine Wash:

      1. Use a wool-safe detergent.

      2. Select the wool program at 30°C or lower.

      3. After washing, lay the hat flat to dry.

      Important:
Do not put the hat in a dryer.

      Tip:
Icelandic wool is naturally breathable and resistant to odor. It often only needs a good airing out, rather than frequent washing.
